System Restore

My friend has saved a file in Microsoft Word, then later
went back to her computer. When she switched it back on
every single one of her files has disappeared. When she
is running a system restore it is only letting her go
back 2 days. She has used the repair disc supplied with
the computer but still no files. The document she is
trying to find is a 1000 word essay so you can probably
imagine the state she is in.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

She can do a search of the hard drive for *.wps System
Restore would have put back the file structure that was on
the system when it was created, meaning before that
document was created, thus in reality it never existed.

If she used the restore disk then she better get typing,
if it was a OEM it did a clean install.
