System restore

hi all

I have winXp Pro and want to use the System Restore.How often do XP create a
resore point or must i create my own restore point before i use System
restore

I believe, the system restore creates a restore point automatically every 24
hours by default, assuming the computer is logged on and idle.
You can also create your own restore point anytime, I typically do so before
installing any updates or new hardware drivers.

You can also view, your current restore points, by starting system restore,
and getting to the screen where you pick a restore date. They will be listed
in bold, of course, you can cancel from there unless you really want to go
ahead and do a restore.
