System Restore

I attempted to use the System Restore program to correct problems which
I think were caused by installation of an anti-spy program. I removed
the Anti-Spy program. After several attempts it was apparant that the
Sys Restore program wasn't going to work. I run windows XP home
edition. Any suggestions? (As a first time poster I'm not sure if I'm
doing this right and would appreciate any criticisms, etc.)

If System Restore doesn't work in Normal Mode, it might work in Safe
Mode.
Toggle F8 or Press Ctrl ( depends on your comp ) during bootup ( just
before, verifying DMI pool, message comes on )
Select Safe Mode.
