Why isn't my c: drive listed in available drives box on system restore tab on
system properties dialog box? How can I get restore to include C:, D: and G:
drives?

"System," Restore: Think about it.

OK, done thinking.
Are D and G drives, which ARE listed, part of the "system"?
Why would "system" restore tell me that C drive can't be restored whenever I
select a point from which to restore?

Because a program that you installed killed the System Restore process.
I had it happen to me. The last time, the Trial Copy of Diskeeper killed
System Restore and I had to restore an image of the operating system's
partition.

Remember, that System Restore is used to fix problems created by other
programs. If another program, did something to System Restore, in order to
fix the problem, you either have to restore an image, if you created one, or
either Repair XP or Reformat and reinstall Windows XP.
