System Restore

I want to restore my computer back to the settings from a
week ago as I am having a few problems. I have never used
this facility before and on using the wizard, it appears
I only have one restore point from a couple of days ago
when I installed a program. It would not allow me to go
back to December so I assume there are no restore points
there???? I read in the help screen that the computer
will automatically create restore points every 24 hours
even if changes have not been made. I checked the
settings and System Restore has not been turned off as
far as I can see. Does anyone know why my computer has
not been creating restore points automatically? I would
be grateful for any advice. Thanks

The problem might be that there isn't enough disk space for system restore to make more than one restore point. To increase the space, open System Properties from the control panel Performance and Maintenance page, select the System Restore tab, move the Disk space to use slider to the right to increase the amount of disk space available for System Restore.
