System restore won't progress

I need to restore my computer to an early date in March. After I highlight
the restorable date and click 'next' nothing happens. The 'next' button
visually responds on the monitor when I click the mouse, but nothing happens
at all. Then I tried clicking the 'back' button but nothing happens either. I
thought system restore was not responding and checked Windows task manager,
which said system restore was running. I tried the other button, which was
the 'Cancel' button, which worked fine. Could somebody please help me with
this dilemma? I would be very thankful.

unfortunately, under certain
circumstances the restore
points are removed from the
disk.

however, if you still have them
then doug knox has a website
with a fix to repair/syncronize
your restore calendar

if neither of the above prove
useful, then you might consider
a "repair installation" with your
windows setup cd..

End of the day I was unable to solve the problem and had to reset the
restoration. So far it seems OK. Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate
it.
