System Restore Service service errors

I am unable to create a system restore point. i keep getting the
following error in the event log: event id 7023 "The System Restore
Service service terminated with the following error:
The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure
that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is
not corrupted."
how do get to where i can create a restore point?? help appreciatted. -mike
 
Hi Mike,

I suspect System Restore is seeing a non Windows type partition. I would suggest
stopping System Restore from monitoring any partitions other than the one
Windows is installed on. Then try running system restore.
