System Restore Problems

How can I system restore from the boot page or whatever (you know where I
would have to put in C:systemrestore - or whatever). Anyway - i messed my
system up by deleting viruses and deleted things I shouldn't have. Now, when
my computer comes on, it shows my desktop and the items, but when I click on
My Computer (on the desktop or start menu) it does nothing. There is no HELP
or no SUPPORT or RUN on my startup menu either...

Hi Tiffanee:

I have a feeling your computer is up the ying yang, if you know I mean,
but you can get to My Computer in other ways. For example, open My
Documents and go to View | Go to | Up one level, or simply click on the
toolbar icon that looks like a folder with an arrow pointing up.

First off, if you don't have a recent backup of your important
files, now is the time to do something about it before
attempting either of these two procedures.

The first one is what you asked for, the second one is what I
think you may need.

If the system will boot into Safe Mode, run System Restore from there.

Restart your computer, and then press F8 during the initial startup to start
your computer in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with a command prompt.
Log on to your computer with an administrator account or with an account
that has administrator credentials.
In Safe Mode type or paste the following command in the Start - Run box then
press Enter. In Safe Mode Command Prompt type the following command then
press ENTER.

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to restore your computer
to an earlier state, or undo the last restore if available.
