My system has lots of restore points from recently installed software. When
I select a restore point, the system restarts and then gives me a message,
"Your system can not be restored". I am the only user. The problems exists
for all restore points and starting in the safe mode as administrator does
not help. This is a recently installed professional system with all
updates. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Al,

Unfortunately, once System Restore is 'broken', all you can really do is
disable it, reboot and reenable it. This also removes all existing restore
points.

To disable/reenable, go to the Control Panel/System/SR tab and use the
option to disable it on all drives.
