System Restore not functioning

Anyone help me with system restore not working? It goes back 3mths. I've
tried 3 goes (even back to the limit). It goes thro he motions , shuts
down,restarts then tells me it was unable to restore.

well, depending on
how much space was
allocated, old system
restore points are
flushed away by the
o.s.

in any case, since you
have a pre existing issue
and because system
restore may also be
indicative of a bigger
issue, i suggest you
simply do a "repair installation"
with your windows cd.

the repair will "repair"
corrupted system files
and create a fresh new
restore point as well.

No Norton or Zone Alarm. I was thinking of a CD reinstall. Thanks for
conformation.
