I bought a 200gb hard drive and installed it a couple of months ago. I
installed it with a 180GB partition and a 18GB partition. My older 40GB hard
drive is now drive "D" and the 18GB partition from the new drive is "E" while
the 180GB partition is now "C" . Kinda messed upo but thats what windows did.
OK now to the problem...
Last week I tried to do a system restore and it would not work...it just sat
there. I thought nothing of it and was in a hurry so I just gave up. Today, I
just noticed that under the system restore point it still shows the 40GB as
the system drive. It is not, It's a slave drive. The 180GB partition is the
system drive.
I can't turn off the system restore either. I have even tried removing the
40Gb drive but system restore still won't work at all.
Is there any ways to delete the "master file" of the sytem restore so that
it defualts back to normal? Make it foget everything and default??????
Please email me direct of you have an answer to this...PLEASE
