System Restore has not recovered lost bookmarks. HELP!

J

Jake Wade

Using FIREFOX as my browser I inadvertently deleted my
profile, which has resulted in the loss of my BOOKMARKS.
Newsgroup "mozilla.support.firefox" are unable to help: once
deleted it's gone seems to be their view.
I have used a file recovery program to recover the file but
when I open it, it is all gobble-de-gook ( random
letters/numbers/symbols ).
I have also used SYSTEM RESTORE without success, it will not
bring back the lost "bookmarks.html" file.
Does anyone have any suggestions??

regards
Jake

Unless you backed the bookmarks up on external media (cd-r, thumbdrive)
they are gone. I'm sorry.

Hi Gordon,

For the most part that is true, but not 100% true. I use NetObjects
Fusion to build web pages, which uses the .nod extension The .nod
extension IS monitored by SR. I consider these my data files. <g>
