System Restore Error

I just finished setting up a new Dell laptop and tried to run "System
Restore" to create a restore point, but got the below error and "System
Restore" doesn't open. Is there any way to repair "System Restore"?

ERROR:

System Restore

There was an unexpected error:

The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
(0x8007007B)

System Restore will now close.

The BIG question is: Why would an advanced operating system need to even
incorporate such silliness as "System Restore"? Is it because Microsoft is
so incapable of producing a stable operating system that it needs to add
such a silly utility?
There was an unexpected error:
Oh, I guess Microsoft's programmers will explain what this "unexpected
error" is all about?
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

Now, that is really helpful! All you have to do is track that down and your
problem will be solved.
System Restore will now close.

Thank Gawd! Actually "System Restore" should do more than just close. It
shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Cheers.

You are a branded scoundrel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Criminal!!

Instead of helping a person, you scum are dripping your sh*t around.

It is none of your business, crook, to even ask such a question: "Why does
an advanced OS?" If you do not understand simple things ask a surgeon to do
a lobotomy on you. Or perhaps you've already had one.

My hunch is that you perhaps did something to the volume where the backup is
located. Is it possible that you disconnected the device and reconnected it
at a later date and it got a different letter?

This error is caused by faulty imaging by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) that
results in the presence of an invalid volume. To see if this is the problem, go to System in
Control Panel and open System Protection. There will be two volumes shown, one of which is
selected and named “Missing.” Selecting C:\ and deselecting “Missing” solves the problem.
