System Restore - Doesn't!

Hi all,

I have lots of restore points in the calendar but Windows XP (Home) doesn't
appear to be able to restore any of them.

It goes through the motions, reboots and then simply tells me Windows
couldn't restore that particular restore point. Windows then continues to
load as normal.

Any ideas why it wont rstore these points?

It doesn't happen often, but unfortunately System Restore points sometimes
get corrupted. When that happens, all you can do is turn it off and then
back on again. That causes the loss of existing restore points, but they are
no good anyway.

Did you run a chkdsk /f on the drives first? System Restore will not work
if there are drive errors.
