System Restore doesn't work

I'm using XP home, SP2. System Restore is creating about one restore
point per day, but the last two times I tried to restore, it wouldn't
do it. Most recently I tried it a few minutes ago, to restore to a
point that was less than three hours old. I don't think I've been
able to do it since I upgraded to SP2. Is there something I can do so
it will restore?

In case it matters, the computer is a Dell 4550, 2.4 GHz P4, 1 GB of
RAM, two hard drives, CD writer, DVD writer, ATI graphics card.

Hello!

Try to disable system restore and than turn it on again

Right click on My Computer
select Properties
and than go to System Restore tab and uncheck/check turn off......

Good Luck

Thanks, that fixed it. Also, I have two hard drives and the second
one just has data files on it, so I had the restore off on it. I
turned it back on, so that *may* have been causing the problem.

It shouldn't be a problem turning off SR for data only
drives/partitions. It's off for several partitions on two different
internal drives in my system and SR works fine. Something else was
causing the problem.
