System Restore did nothing to fix the problem

2 days ago I tried to right-click on Internet Explorer to see the properties
in order to delete the history. I was unable to open up the properties. Since
then, other weird stuff is happening and I my IE connection keeps getting
hung up, I keep having to manually shut down the computer, among many more. I
tried to install Mozilla Foxfire before the problems started to occur and
uninstall IE but then all of this happened. I uninstalled Foxfire thinking
that was the problem to no avail. I then tried System Restore (to many dates)
but that has not fixed the problem. Any help would be really appreciated. I
don't want to have to pay the Geek Squad to come out... too expensive!

What are the details of some of this "weird stuff" that keeps
happening?

What happened when you attempted to install Foxfire? Did the install
complete? Were there any error messages? Is Foxfire now working?

If you had IE 7 installed then you would be able to uninstall it, but
all that would do is to put you back to IE 6 which cannot be
uninstalled.

With the additional details please include any and all error messages
that are being produced by your computer.
