I have a Dell Dimension 8300, running Windows XP Pro
(OEM) SP1. In control panel when double clicking the
SYSTEM icon, it reports {Dell OPTIPLEX 8300} vs {Dell
Dimension 8300}. I have querried Dell support about this
but the support personnel are unable to understand
English well enough to grasp the concept of my question.
They just kept reading their book of instructions and
repeatedly assured me that this is a Dimension computer.
I was trying to inform them of the glitch so maybe
someone would right a fix for it in the next service
pack. Or is my computer the only Dimension that manifests
the error? Is this a Dell glitch or Windows XP glitch?
