So I've been trying to restore my HP notebook (Model NO:ze4230) to factory
condition. The HP QuickRestore System Recovery CDs DO NOT WORK! I've tried
to, insert them with the computer off... turn on the computer and either push
ESC or F11 immediately/when the HP screen appears ... it won't work. I can't
get to the HP backup and recovery manager. It just continues starting up
windows.
I can't find the Recovery Manager. I've tried the option of accessing the
Micorsoft Restore utility by 1.Click START and type recovery in the search
field 2. Select Recovery Mangaer..... BLAH BLAH.
The only thing I've found is System restore... restoring it to an earlier
point in time. I want to wipe this baby clean!
(This notebook has Windows XP yr2002)

Help?

Hi Angela!

I have an HP Media Center PC 2005 m7260n. When I do the system recovery, I
press F10 the moment I see the blue screen that says press F1 (boot screen),
F8 (Safe Mode), and F10 (System Recovery) and it works. I just did a
destructtive system recovery last month using Advanced Option.

I hope this helps!
