System reboots in Outlook and Messenger

I built a new system this weekend and installed Windows XP Pro and a
trial of MS Office 2007 Professional. Everything was fine when I
installed and was using the system at my place but when it was moved
to the owner's home, the system would reboot when we used Outlook and
Messenger. I am trying to think what may be causing this problem. I
have monitored the case and cpu temperature and they seem fine.

The motherboard, cpu, and memory was working fine in another system
and the only thing that I changed was the power supply, heatsink and
fan. I installed a quieter heatesink/fan and a power supply that had
less power because the extra power was not needed.

I did check the bios after the system was built but I did not load the
defaults. Maybe I should have done that? The only other thing i can
think of right now is checking the voltage of the power supply. If
anyone else has some other ideas of things to check, please let me
know.

You could view the event viewer under administrative tools to see if you
could gather some specifics related to the event.
I would deinstall one or both of the programs and see if the problem persists.
After that I would check for a bios update for the motherboard
