When I checked my system properties in the control panel,
instead of seeing my name as the registered owner, it now
says 'Not You, no longer'. Have I been hacked, if so what
damage may have been done?

Some malicious program may have changed the registry to
display that threat.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause
serious problems that may require you to reinstall
Windows. We recommend that you create a System Restore
checkpoint before continuing.

To fix it back, open Registry Editor, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion, then edit the RegisteredOwner value to
the way you want.
Changes should take effect immediately.
NOTE: You need to be logged on as an administrator (or use
Run As to run Regedit as an administrator) to complete
this procedure.
