System process using 99% of CPU

Hi everyone,

I'm using WXP on my laptop, with SP1, and from time to
time I have to "suffer" a strange "System process" that
uses all the available CPU capacity, therefore making the
system extraordinarily slow.

Other times, I have managed to solve the problem by
uninstalling and reinstalling several USB devices and
drivers, but it seems this is not working this time.

Does anybody have any idea on what I could do to fix this
thing? Any patch or something??
