David

i have a computer that i need to sign in with a password-
i guess i inadvertently my account because when i booted
on and went to put the password in , it said "your account
has been disabled, please see your system administrator.
it is a stand -alone computer which i got second hand from
a friend's office who i guess was on a network. this does
not even allow me to get to the start button. any
suggestions as to how i could rectify this situation
thanks. david

turn the computer on and press F8 before the windows
screen comes on and start the computer in safe mode and
log on as computer administrator (it shouldnt need a
password) and change your password from there.
