Is sfc removed in Vista 64 bit OS? I tried sfc /scannow and nothing happens?
 
Run it from an elevated command prompt. Type cmd in the start/search box,
then right-click on cmd.exe in the list above the search box and select 'Run
as Administrator".
 
Even easier - click on the windows key on your keyboard+R and you get the
traditional Run menu
