System Configuration changes cause Vista to not reboot

G

While trying to get Vista to run chkdsk on startup, I made the following
changes to System Configuration:
- Diagnostic Startup
- No GUI Boot

My laptop now starts up, shows the "filmy green curtain" backdrop, displays
the words "Windows Vista Starting Up" (or something like that) in Courier
typeface, and then hangs.

Is there a way to get Vista to start up again? It came on the laptop,
without a backup disk.

Thanks,
Peter
