Hello

I am using Xeon2.4GH dual processor server, with
SE75001HG2 Mother board server, for our organisation. I
installed Windows 2000 Server with Service pack4, and I
installed Oracle 8.1.7 on that.

The problem is : When I change the system date from
current date to some old date, I am unable to connect to
the Oracle Database, again if I change it to current date
I am able to connect. Kindly Any one can help me on this,
it is very urgent.

Regards
Raghu

When you modify the date for W2K, specially in a domain environment, you are
essentially nullifying any possibility that a user gets authenticated. Time
is critical in W2K (that's putting it lightly). This is true for both
replication and Kerberos logons, all of which are time stamped.

There just is no excuse since SQL, and other languages, support time based
specific queries.
