System Claims Driver is Only for Vista

I am running Vista Ultimate RTM (32 bit) on an ASUS MB laptop that includes
nVIDIA 7600 LE display adapter. I downloaded the latest driver package for
the video adapter (97.46_forceware_winvista_x86_international_whql.exe) but
when I go to run it it throws a popup saying it is only for Vista systems?

Thoughts on how to resolve this?

I had a similar problem, did you uninstall your old nvidia driver already?
If so that is what is wrong i think, I reinstalled my old nvidia driver(or
do a system restore) and then it went ok.

Thanks for the response. I tried it with the old driver still there and with
the old driver removed. Same results.
