"System Cannot log you on..." err. msg

Hello,

In trying to join a domain from a Win2k pro work station
to an NT4 server, the following error occurs after the
required reboot: "The system cannot log you on now b/c the
domain <dom.name> is not available."

I added XP pro workstations w/out problems so the cause
seems to reside w/ the client.

Pls. advise as to how to solve.

Make sure you click the drop-down arrow and choose the domain and not the
workstation on the login screen - sounds simple, but I've made that mistake
before many times ;-)
If that isn't it, can you login using workstation only? Then maybe you can
try pinging the PDC, run ipconfig, and other basic network troubleshooting.
