EME MOR

Here below is the message I get when I reply or send new mail to people in
and not in my contacts list. I have outlook 2003. My email provider said the
box should be checked by " My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication." It used to be checked but not anymore. When I do check it
and click OK Outlook freezes up on me. I already removed outlook and
re-installed it and the same probem still exsists.

Here is the message I get, I xxx out the correct email for this forum.

This is a message from the mail server at xxxxxxx.com that the user xxxxxxx
does not exist on the server. You're specifying the address incorrectly
somehow.

I've been emailing this guy for years and all of the sudden I can't anymore.
I recieve his mail no problem but I can't reply nor send new mail to him (and
some others) anymore.
My mail server told me to make sure I check off the box under Tools/E-mail
acccounts/More Settings/Outgoing Server " My outgoing server(SMTP) requires
authentication". This box used to be checked off, but now isn't. And when I
check it off and click OK to save changes Outlook freezes up. I re-installed
Outlook and the problem still exsists.

Reinstalling Outlook rarely addresses problems like this. Create a new mail
profile instead.

That seems to have solved the problem. I ran a few test emails, so far so good.
This problem has stumped many people for the past few weeks.
Thanks Brian.
