I have over 300 systems that need a specific computer name on the domain. Is
there a way to automate to change the computername to unique names in a
department using sysprep? Basically I need to have the systems start at 1
and work there way up. 1-40 in each office area. Each has its own xp image
and I use ghost also.

I am using Symantec Ghost for imaging

Damn, Altiris and toys like that make it a lot easier. You could try
wacking something in your cmdlines.txt to rename the machine, such as
wsname.exe, that should do the trick, although you'll need something to
map a PC to it's name, such as MAC address or CPU ID or something.
