Sysprep and Ghosting

If I have an image done and can deploy it with Ghost, why do I need to run
sysprep? Ghostwalk renames and generates sids. What does Sysrep do that the
aforementioned doesn't?

Microsoft fully supports Sysprep (which does cleanup items other than just
generating new SIDs); see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314828 for details.

The SID changing process used by GhostWalk isn't supported. There are
several Symantec knowledge base articles that talk about GhostWalk vs.
Sysprep and in most cases recommend using Sysprep.

I know this is a bit late bit just logged on and saw the message concerning
SysPrep and Ghost Walker - You might take a look at this article by Symantec
concerning this issue.
