I have a dual HD config (WD 40G). Primary drive recently
failed. Got new replacement drive, after format it became
drive F: with the old secondary non-sys drive becoming
drive C:

Will this cause any problems or is it just inconvenient?
Do you recommend reinstalling the OS (winXP home) with the
2nd drive disconnected to allow drive C: status?

Go to Start/Help and enter the keywords drive letter. it should explain how
to change it there.
