Is a tool to synchronize files on two computers.

I am configuring it to do backups. Works swell with one oddity:

It doesn't like files/folders with an imbedded tilde in the name. Such as:

C:\Things\MyThings\Stolen Things\Three~Breasts.gif

or, more usually,

~deleteme.tmp deleteme.~tmp

A lot of applications do not work well when files/folders use special
characters (in your case the tilde), even spaces can cause a lot of
headaches (MS's implemention of long filenames always seemed like a bit of a
hack job if you ask me). Microsoft provides their PowerToys as-is and do
not offer support so you're most likely out of luck with the SyncToy.
Here are a couple third party applications that may suite your needs and I'm
sure there are more that Google could locate as well:
The first (PathSync) is freeware and the second (SecondCopy2000) offers a
trial version
