Syncronize My Handheld

I installed SP 1 to Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop yesterday. My
handheld device with Windows Mobile v6 will no longer sync. Today I re-
installed Windows Mobile Device Center and my handheld is still
unrecognized. In the process of this, my handheld has lost all contacts,
appointments and email. The handheld is a Cingular 8525; I don't know who
makes it. What do I do to get Vista to recognize and sync my handheld?

Me Again.

When I installed SP1, it set a restore point. If I go back to that
restore point, will I get my sync capability back?
