Syncronising PDA with outlook 2002

Having installed microsoft activsync onto PC successfully
and synchronised Outlook 2002 with HP PDA once now each
time synchronisation is attempted message appears 'unable
to synchronise consult help' bbbut nothing exists on
microsoft support site
