Synchronizing output on dual monitor

I am running OfficeXP on a 2 GHz computer with an ATI
dual monitor video card and 512 MB of memory. I bring up
a presentation on the left monitor. When I start the
slide show, it automatically goes to the left monitor
(actually a video projector). When I scroll through the
slide show (using page up and down), the left monitor
stays on the first slide of the slide show. Sometimes
the left monitor will advance, but most of the times it
won't.

Is there any way to make the slides presented on the left
monitor consistently advance when I advance the slide
show?
