synchronizatoin errors

My XP machines are showing synchronization errors. They
are trying to connect to a server that I no longer have.
How do I tell the machine to quit trying to connect.

My 2000 machines gave the error message once and gave me
the option to "do not reconntet." Now they work fine.

If I understand your situation, all you need to do is
open 'My Computer', then right click on the drive that is
mapped to the non-existant server, and choose 'Disconnect'.
