Synchronization between Laptop and Desktop

Can anyone advise as to how I synchronise the contacts and calendar within
outlook between my desktop and laptop?

I think you might want to post to an outlook newsgroup. Pick one of them
under microsoft.public.outlook
 
Try www.syncpst.com or www.pstsync.com (they are different products).
