Sync PDA (Palm Tungsten E)

I am unable to sync my new PDA with Microsoft Outlook
2000. Palm Tech Support has confirmed everything is set
up properly in the PDA, and told me to contact Microsoft
Tech Support for Outlook to set up a profile in Outlook.

I want to sync everything EXCEPT MAIL, i.e., Contacts,
Calendar, Tasks, Notes, Games, etc.

Once that is accomplished, I have a second issue.
Theoretically, if Outlook Contacts consists of 150
entries, and I only want 50 of those contacts in my PDA,
how do I accomplish the transfer of the specified
contacts. I have assigned a category called "PDA" to
each of the contacts I want to sync -- or is there a
better approach?

Thank You!

To create a profile in Outlook click on the start menu and choose control panel. Double click on the mail icon and choose show profiles, add the profile from there.

For the contacts, have the contacts you want to share with the PDA have in the contacts folders. Those you do not want shared, create a folder called "My Whatever" and place the contacts in there (make sure the type in contacts not mail items)
