I'm doing a statistics course and I need an x with a bar above it and cannot
seem to find it in Word or Excel 2007, where it was there in the older
versions. Any help would be fantastic!!

In Word 2007, Insert tab of the ribbon, button Quick parts, Field, choose
EQ. Click on the options button, choose the switch \0(), click between the
parentheses and type the x a comma and then press Alt+0175, OK your way out.
