Symbol Pocket PC Scanner Scanning range

Hi,

I'm developing an application, where by I need to able to scan the barcode
labels from a distance of around 4-5 metres ( say 20 feet). I've seen symbol
website and found that MC 9000 series got the ability to do this.

Now, could any of you please tell me what should be the specification used
to print the Barcode labels, in order to scan them from that distance ( > 5
metres / 20 Ft).

Right now, I've got labels in two sizes. one is 9 characters and the other
is 28 characters. We're using Code 128 font & Zebra printer to print them.

If any of you had similar reqmnt, could you please tell me the
specifications in printing the labels ( length / width / Resolution / Bar
width etc.), and the right scanner in the MC 9000 series, it would be great.

Right now, working with Symbol scanner (SYMBOL MC9060 - GFOHBEEA4WW), which
could only scan upto 3-4 feet distance.

First, you need MC 9000 with Lorax 1D Long Range Scanner.
I've printed label on Zebra printer for 6 meter scanning with resolution
about 50 mils.
You can achieve better perfomance using reflective material.
ZPL code is about
^XA^BY20^FO10,10^BCN,150,N,N,N^FD barcode ^FS^XZ'
