What would cause a lock icon to be present beside the live update
button on Norton Antivirus Corporate edition. The live update button
is disabled. I have pointed the workstation to a parent server via IP
address. I have reinstalled it, nogo. I can't change which server to
go to for definition updates because the button is greyed out. Please
advise.

Dump Norton. The new LiveUpdate is a nightmare!

Scott,

These settings, including the client lock-out,
are made at the server or group level through
the System Center Console, not at the client level.

The administrator has it locked so the users have no control over antivirus.
This does not allow the user to diasble the norton.

As far as corporate edition goes. I have been very happy with it's
operation. Our company has been virus free for ever since we installed it
(about 3 to 4 years). That is all that counts.
