I was wondering if anyone had success creating an image using Symantec
DeployCenter 5.6 (the one that comes with the latest Solution Suite)
using an LG Super Multi DVD Drive (GSA-4167B) using Maxell DVD+R media?
The system just keeps rejecting fresh disks by asking me to insert a
disk into the DVD drive. I tried quick formating a DVD-RW, but
deploycenter told me it was full (not suprising). I'm not too confident
it will take the disk after a slow format.

If it helps I am creating this image off a quad AMD Opteron system
using a MNL-H8DA8 board and a Maxtor DiamondMax (6L080P0) hard disk
drive. I guess I could always connect another disk drive, but I would
like to see if there is a way around this problem. Thank you for any
support you can offer. In case you are wondering, I do have a support
license, but thought I would try here first.

I have one of these drives (or near equivalent) and it definitely has a
dislike for any kind of -R media. I find it works well with TDK +RW media,
or Samsung +R media.

Also would suggest trying making discs with standard burning software, e.g.
DeepBurner Free. That would at least identify if it's a drive or software
problem.
