Since my last windows update, the System32 window opens every time we time turn on our computer. It doesn't show-up on our Start-Up command so I'm lost as to how to get it to stop.

Hi Mark,

D/load and run the fix that is available here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
(line 260, right-hand column --> System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot)

Also, check out this MSKB article:

I got the following when I tried to run the fix
The script cannot repair your issue. The expected Registry value was not found

Another newsgroup user found this was the fix for their problem with
system32 folder opening at startup:

"Type MSCONFIG at the Run command and look in Startup. Do you have an entry
/L:ENG
if so you need to goto the corresponding registry location and modify that
command. Apparently there is a space before /L:ENG that doesn't show up in
the registry until you export the key for viewing. Get rid of this space and
hopefully this should solve your problem."
