SYCHOST.EXE & EXPLORER.EXE PROBELMS

I am running win2000pro. Which I like because of
stability. I was having problems with SYCHOCT.EXE &
EXPLORER.EXE shutting down. I downloaded a program and
erased the hard drive. I think I had a virus. I dont
know which one. But I tried eveything to fix the
problem. Erasing the hard drive appears to have worked.
