SXS.DLL sytax error....

When upgrading from Me to XP Home, I have received the
following error. It is similar to one posted previous, but
they are slightly different and the info was not useful
for my problem. Here is the message:

SXS.DLL Syntax error in manifest or policy
file "C:\$WIN_NT$~LS\1386\ams\60100
\MSFT\WINDOWS\COMMON\CONTROLS.MAN"
ON LINE 5
DATA IS INVALID

Please help if you can.
