Switching Window Stops PowerPoint Presentations

I run computer screens for an organization using a dual monitor setup. I run
several programs at a time meaning several windows are open at any given
time. While running a PP presentation if I click on another window the
presentation stops and freezes on whatever slide it was displaying. I then
have to click back on to PP and F5 it to get the presentation running again.
Is there a way to leave a presentation running while working in another
window without having the presentation stop when I switch to another windows?

Afraid this is normal for powerpoint. The only answer is to use something
like powershow from officeone.
