Switching languages

Presently, when I press alt+shift the keyboard switches to chinese and then
korean and then japanese.
I would like to use alt+shift to switch ONLY between hebrew and english. Is
there a way to limit that languages that alt+shift accesses?

What Alt-Shift is doing is cycling through the installed languages. If
you only have two languages installed, it'll toggle between them (if
you don't need CJK, just delete them using the Control Panel -- it's
easy enough to bring them back if you do need any of them later).

You can also create keyboard shortcuts for the installed languages --
IIRC, also within the Control Panel -- but I think you can only use Alt
+Shift and the numerals, which you'll then have to memorize. (I simply
made Alt-Shift-1 English and use the Language Bar to pick any other --
you did notice that as soon as you added a second language, a little
"EN" appeared at the left end of the right-hand group of icons in the
Status Bar at the very bottom of your screen? click that to pick any
of your installed languages.)
