Switching from webfolder to html page

I would like to be able to force a frontpage client to
switch from webfolder view back to an HTML page, either
with WebDAV or server extension. Can anybody point
out to me how to do that? The client is IE. The scenario
is like: the user is browsing from web folders using IE,
they click on a folder, and it switches to an HTML page.

Thanks, any idea helps.

Place a default page in the folder.
Default meaning what your server requires as a default page.

index.htm for example
Then when a link to the folder is clicked a page automatically opens.

http://www.95isalive.com/fun is a link to a folder with a default page ( index.htm ) in it.

Thank you Steve, but that didn't seem to work. Besides,
I am confused by it. I am talking about web folder view,
where files and folders from the web server shows up
as yellow folders and all just like in Windows Explorer
(as oppose to IE)... it's true it's up to the web server
what to serve up, but even if IIS (or whatever server)
serves up an HTML page with a 200 status code,
IE doesn't seem to understand and keeps issuing
PROPFIND requests instead of switching back to
HTML... Can you think of any other tricks? I've tried
just about all status code but none of which can
switch the client back to showing HTMLs

Suggest you try posting this question to the IE, Windows Server or IIS newsgroup.
