switching from outlook to windows mail

Hi,
I want to switch from using outlook to windows mail. Is there a short and
easy way to do this which will also keep my address book available etc.?
 
Outlook has to be installed and configured with its data file on the same PC
as Mail
Then in Mail you can import msgs from 'Exchange'
In Outlook you export Contacts in a form that Mail can Import (csv)

Or if you cannot set up Outlook on the same PC, and assuming the Outlook PC
has outlook express. In OE import from Outlook. Copy the OE data store to
Vista and Import in Mail
