Switching back from Vista to XP

I have a persistent problem with my Outlook 2002 and Vista that I haven't
been able to resolve. I just bought a new Dell 1525 with Vista. How hard is
it to convert to XP. Please advise. Below is my previous question which
explains the problem I've been having. I believe switching to XP would
probably solve it.

Thanks!

I have been using Outlook 2002 on my laptop running xp for some time. I've
often copied my data file (Outlook.pst) from my laptop to a desktop also
running xp with no problem. I just bought a Dell laptop running Vista and
loaded the same Outlook 2002 software which works fine until I copy the data
file from my xp machine to the new machine. When I try to start outlook, I
get the "A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in
Outlook" warning message, which seems to be stuck in a repeating loop that
won't let me click yes or no to proceed and I have to use task manager to end
the program. Can anyone help with this.

It will require a complete reinstall of your computer.

The Outlook 2002 issue as you describe it has nothing to do with Vista or
with the process of copying back and forth your pst-file. The issue is
caused by a 3rd party addin/program that you have installed which relies on
Outlook and tries to access its contents in an insecure way.

This 3rd party addin/application is probably very old as well as the
security model causing this has been in place for well over 7 years and
proper programming instructions are very well documented. No proper
application should cause any of these prompts these days anymore.

Uninstall/update this application or disable its integration with Outlook
and try again.
